Description Basic experience on Linux/Solaris environments Strong Manual testing experience on Web- based applications Automation Testing knowledge required [QTP knowledge] Mandatory Skills: Minimum of 1 years in Testing J2EE based Applications Strong exposure to PL/SQL & RDBMS[oracle 10g & above] Exposure to Setup & Deploy Test Environments on technologies - [Windows, Linux, Solaris, Web Sphere, JBOSS, Apache/Tomcat] A demonstrated understanding of the development lifecycle and how QA fits into the process Exposure to client interaction on UAT/PROD setups or Demos Job roles and Responsibilities: Prepare Master Test Plan to monitor progress against the defined objectives and for continuous improvement of processes Create Test Scenarios, Cases, RTM Review of the Detailed Test Cases and Periodic review of the schedule variance, effort variance for testing phases. Execute System Testing, Integration testing and user acceptance testing Execution of functional testing, performance testing, black box testing Implement various test design models for manual test life cycles based upon the type of project Setup Test environments as per Customer Architecture checklist Participate and Setup UAT/PRODUCTION instances of Clients Contribute to Existing and New process for Improving Efficiency & Quality deliverables Follow & Manage Release management process QA Lead: Additional responsibilities - Manage a team of minimum 2 to 4 members Prior experience to Setup and Deploy UAT/PROD setups Must have strong client interaction experience Define Acceptance & Exit Criteria for each Testing Cycle based on QA organization process Bottom-up and top-down testing approaches Participate in MetricStream CMM Assessment internal activities. Research and stay abreast of new technologies with the goal of understanding platform and browser issues and best practices QA methodologies Provide technical support and share knowledge with the rest of the QA teams.
