Description
- You will participate in all phases of the SDLC, work closely with customers to elicit and understand functional requirements, develop test plans, identify existing test cases for automation, and create test harnesses and drivers as needed.
- Desire a self-starter who is comfortable interacting and communicating with technical and business personnel at all organizational levels.
- Create test cases for implied requirements and use cases, as well as generate a quality set of negative test cases. Develop and execute test plans and cases based on functional specifications.
- Analyze, document, and verify system change requests (defects, enhancements, new features functionality).
- Work with developers, business analyst, and end user groups to identify/resolve issues with system changes.
- Execute test cases and communicate results to the members of the delivery team.
- Monitor defects and communicate defect metrics to the members of the delivery team. Assure internal documentation is updated to reflect program changes.
- Participate in on-call pager rotation.
Requirements:
- Proven hands on experience with Software Testing, Ability to independently design, develop and execute test plans for web-based products, Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes, Experience with automated defect tracking tools, Experience with source/version control systems, Understanding of QA methodologies and processes.
Proficiency with
office software: Microsoft Word,
Excel, Visio and Power Point.

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with project teams, sponsors, senior management and business partners.
- Proficient in problem resolution.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, anticipate required activities/tasks, and work according to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Is highly productive and performs well under pressure. Is a constant source of information for others on team. Learns quickly and adapts easily to new challenges.
Education and
Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline. Graduate Degree a plus.
Other relevant experience:
- 1 or more years manual Software Testing Experience, 1 year of troubleshooting work experience, 1 year technical writing and documentation.
